This is Lily's attempt at smiling as she's getting her hair cut.
When you live in Texas, you live for the winters. Winters here are seriously like late spring and summer in Washington. We try to spend as much time as we can outside, and have been discovering some new parks.
Our ward had a Valentine's Day dance on Friday. It was a lot of fun, and Robby danced with me and acted like he enjoyed it, so bonus for me! We met at a dance, which always just strikes me as funny because it's not necessarily his favorite thing to do. And this picture is post-LASIK. My big adventure to start off the new year was to get LASIK! It has been great, especially waking up in the middle of the night and being able to see, and exercising. I can't wait to go swimming! I am ready for the halos and glares to go away at night; driving can seem a wee bit dangerous.
Lily is in gymnastics, which has been really fun for me to watch. Lance always wants to join in the fun, which makes it tricky, though. I think next week she's going to start soccer; there's some moms who have started a league, so we'll see how that goes.
In other news, I've been collecting blankets and coats to send to Afghanistan. My ward is helping, and hopefully we'll get things mailed out in the next few days. My piano room is taken over by coats, gloves, hats and blankets. People have good hearts, and I'm glad it will help the kids there. If you are wondering more about it you can go here. It's my parents' blog.
